“LOVE the capsules! I feel amazing all of the time! Even my midwife has commented on how great I look! Which must be a good sign!!” (1st time mum Lauren, Sunderland)
“Emily was very speedy in creating the capsules and got them back to me two days after I had given birth. I started taking them immediately and found that they lifted my spirits and I was much less tired and could manage without caffeine or napping in the day. I was also able to walk my son to school and back each day and every other day carry out a 20 minute walk, which I have not been able to do for about two years.” (Mum of two, Cheshire)
“I can’t thank you enough for encapsulating my placenta. I was told yesterday that my iron level was significantly higher than it was when I left the hospital and I’m confident that the capsules have played a huge part in that and in keeping the baby blues at bay. I had much more energy than I thought I’d have at this stage and I can’t think what else could be responsible for that.” (Mum of one, London)
I am so glad I chose to encapsulate my placenta. I knew I’d be prone to post natal depression but thanks to my capsules I didn’t experience any and felt great in myself. 2 weeks after birth and I have minimal bleeding and feel emotionally amazing. Definitely worth the money! I couldn’t be without them now. Anyone who’s debating on doing it just go for it! You won’t regret it! (Mum of one, Natasha from Surrey)
Encapsulating my placenta is one of the best decisions I made – I felt completely different to how I felt after my oldest son’s birth. In fact, going through this questionnaire bought back just how amazing and euphoric I felt – I was on a complete high for weeks and weeks afterwards, and just thinking about how empowered and strong I felt makes me smile now.

I cannot recommend making/taking these capsules enough. It eliminates any of the so-called normal ‘ups and downs’ – keeps you on a level and helps with the effects of sleep depervation! People keep commenting on how well I look!”

I have had bounds more energy than I had after the birth of my first. And more feel more grounded and my skin is fantastic, best ever! Thanks!

If you have any doubts about whether to do this, don’t. The time with your baby after the birth is so important and to go through it feeling great and without feeling too exhausted and over-emotional makes everything else so much easier. When Lynnea came round to do the capsules I was feeling exhausted and felt like I couldn’t go on feeding my son as my milk felt empty. Within 1 hour of taking the capsules I had so much milk he couldn’t drink it all. We found out a few days later that he had a tongue tie and were told that it was unusual for him to be gaining so much weight as most babies with tongue ties struggle as they cannot feed properly so the mother never produces enough milk, yet I continued to have loads. Next time I’ll be brave enough to go for the smoothie after the birth and just not think about it, so that I don’t have to wait for the capsules and can feel great sooner. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

My experience with Koala Therapies (now IPEN) and placenta encapsulation was one of the best things about my birth experience, which on the whole was quite complicated and traumatic. I do feel the capsules provided me with the missing energy and balance required to see me through. Post-partum wasn’t completely blues-free but I feel I had a much gentler ride through those tricky few weeks than I might of done without the capsules.

Post-partum I had more energy in the initial weeks and felt calmer.

I have suffered from mild depression in the past, which becomes worse when I’m tired. I experienced almost no baby blues or weepiness that everyone else talks about. I also had several people comment on how happy I was and how well I coped with having a new baby – my husband is definitely a convert!

I believe that placenta encapsulation is a natural action. I wish that this was offered by the Nhs as standard to all women as it is such a healing & powerful source that mothers need following birth. Maybe there would be less PND if this was done. I felt sane, energised, happy even though I had had a particularly traumatic induction due to pre eclampsia. My BP returned back to normal within a week(it can take up to a month or more normally for this). I also had a 2nd degree tear that healed up beautifully without infection, I had stopped bleeding after 2 weeks & my uterus had shrunk back to normal after 2 weeks. My skin, hair & nails still look great 13 wks later, many of my NCT mums have hair falling out which I don’t.everyone comments how amazing I looked after the birth & I put this down to the PEncap. I can’t thank Lynnea enough for all her support & conviction that this is a right & normal thing to do, it gave me the confidence to talk about PEncap with friends, family, Health care professionals without feeling ashamed, I felt empowered.

I had lots of milk, without engorgement, early on. I don’t know what would have happened without it, but I didn’t experience any pain or wake up suddenly engorged – the milk was there right away. I had a placenta smoothie within 12 hours of the birth.
Amy, mother of two
I was told I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed because I had had a breast reduction 6 years earlier. In the hospital I did have some milk, but within a week of taking my capsules I was pumping 5 oz easily.
Ashley, Mum of one
For me personally the increase in milk and the ease of feeding has been the greatest benefit. The raw placenta smoothie was noticably helpful – the bleeding went from heavy to light in 5-10 hours. My mood and energy levels were also much higher than I expected. And it didn’t taste of anything other than berries which was a complete surprise – in fact it was quite delicious!
Kate, mum of two in London
This was my 2nd pregnancy and I felt more in control and less teary. I can actually notice the difference in my mood once I have taken a pill. This could be because I am more relaxed than the first time round, but I definitely feel that the pills make a difference to my emotional state.
Mum of two, Krishna in Surrey
I recovered quicker this time, even though the births were very similar and that I had a nearly 3 year old to look after this time too.
Mum of two, Karen in Woking
My milk came in earlier (I was) better able to cope, improved mood and less teary. (It) definitely improved my energy levels in early weeks and also enhanced my mood. (Mum of two Gail in Guildford)
Having suffered twice from post-natal depression I was determined to try benefiting from the goodness of my third baby’s placenta. I really think it has made a difference to the ‘tiny baby’ stage and I have saved some of the pills for later in the first year, a vulneralbe period for me. Thanks for making it possible!

Lynnea was an absolute super star about coming out to us after my C-section and was so helpful, she made it all so much easier.
